Technology Liaison & Student Experiences Liaison: NAPDS, Jacksonville, Florida (March 2018)

I had the opportunity to plan with the NAPDS Conference Committee leading up to the event. During the conference, I assisted presenters in setting up their technology. I also co-organized a give back event and student breakfast for the conference.

Community Service: Cambridgeshire Festival of Education, Cambridgeshire, England (June 2017)

I had the opportunity this summer to assist in preparation for the first ever Cambridgeshire Festival of Education in England. I assisted with distributing fliers to other schools in Cambridgeshire where we had pre-service teachers placed. I also helped  prepare materials for the day of the event by labeling items with stickers and compiling handouts for participants.

College Service: Click Conference, University of South Florida (April 2017)

I acted as co-pilot for this years Click Conference. Along with another doctoral candidate, I secured a location for the event, recruited volunteers, created the master schedule for the day, and organized materials on the day of the event. I personally organized 3 technology stations utilizing apps on iPads. At each station, I organized and facilitated the instruction of pre-service teachers who worked with 4th grade students to create digital content.

College Service: Click Conference, University of South Florida (April 2016)

I organized a stop motion animation station prior to the event and facilitated this station on the day of the event with the help of undergraduate volunteers.

Department Service: Business card design, University Teacher Residency Partnership Program (February 2016)

I designed and printed business cards for graduate assistants and content coaches in USF’s Urban Teacher Residency Partnership Program.

Department Service: Logo design, University Teacher Residency Partnership Program (February 2016)

I redesigned the logo for USF’s Urban Teacher Residency Partnership Program and had t-shirts printed with the new logo.

Banned Books Week Table at Bull Market (September 2015)

I advertised Banned Books Week to USF students during the weekly Bull Market fair.

Logo design, University Teacher Residency Partnership Program (August 2015)

I redesigned the logo for USF’s Urban Teacher Residency Partnership Program and had t-shirts printed with the new logo.

Literacy Research Association (LRA) Doctoral Student Innovative Community Group (DSICG) Leadership Team, Technology Committee (December 2014- present)

I am responsible for updating the website and social media pages.

Cambridge Schools Experience Recruiting (Fall 2016)

Recruited participants by speaking to several sections of RED 4312.

USF CLiCK Conference (April 2016)

I helped with recruiting elementary students and USF students to attend and run the event. I planned and organized a Stop Motion Animation station and led it with the assistance from undergraduate volunteers.

Cambridge Schools Experience Placements (Spring 2016)

I assisted in sorting undergraduate students in housing placements and teaching placements.

Cambridge Schools Experience Seminars (Spring 2016)

I co-facilitated five pre-departure seminars for undergraduate students attending the Cambridge Schools Experience Study Abroad Program.

Elementary Education Professional Development Conference (August 2014)

Stephanie Branson and I planned and taught a session titled “Integrating Technology in Coursework and Supervision” for GAs and faculty in the Department of Teaching and Learning.

USF CLiCK Conference (March 2014)

I planned two iPad stations for the CLiCK Conference and organized the equipment checkout.  I also recruited doctoral students to lead the station and undergraduate volunteers to run the station.
