Summer  2018

Cambridge Schools Experience GA (4 weeks)
  • Took the lead on planning and teaching one pre-departure seminar and one seminar while in Cambridge. Both of these seminars focused on global competencies.
  • Met with the research team weekly to plan small group and whole group seminars.
  • Facilitated small group discussion during the other departure seminars and seminars while in Cambridge.
  • Facilitated site based seminars at one site each week of the program in Cambridge.
  • Coached two pre-service teachers weekly in their field placements.
  • Engaged in one full literacy coaching cycles with 2 pre-service teachers. This included a pre-conference for planning, a video of the lesson for coding by both the pre-service teacher and coach, and a post-conference to discuss the video codes.

Spring 2018

  • Collected and filed consent forms from students, CTs, and residents.
  • Compiled and distributed surveys to all CTs and residents.
  • Conducted interviews with Principals, Residents, and CTs.
  • Created the slideshow for the UTRPP pinning ceremony.
  • Decorated for the UTRPP pinning ceremony.
  • Organized the printing of certificates for the UTRPP pinning ceremony.
  • Ordered the plaque for Spirit of Partnership Award.
Literacy and Technology Coaching
  • Pre-conferenced with Residents to plan literacy instruction, determine if technology was appropriate in the lesson, and set a hypothesis for the coaching cycle.
  • Coded Resident videos and outlined the post-conference to connect to coursework and literature.
  • Post-conferenced with Resident and established ‘warranted assertability’.

Fall 2017

  • Set up iPods for video coaching during the 2017-2018 school year.
  • Set up two iPad sets for use in Resident classrooms.
  • Set up users and explorations in Edthena and trained first and final year Residents to upload and code videos.
  • Organized the distribution and collection of consent forms across 6 partnership schools.
  • Updated yearly data collection plan.
  • Collected and filed consent forms from students, CTs, and residents.
