Last week, I was told that my role would be changing. Instead of just mentoring my undergrads, I am now responsible for their evaluation as well. This means that I am not only responsible for their technology integration into the content areas, I am responsible for them as whole, well rounded teachers. I think that I would like to modify my inquiry to include this new role. What kind of support do my undergrads need related to technology? What kind of support do they need in other areas? How can I provide the professional development and support that they need before they graduate in May? What does supervision look like? What does evaluation look like? What does my role look like?
Not only was I responsible for professional development opportunities for my undergrads, I was responsible for providing professional development opportunities for their CTs as well. What does this look like now? Should professional development for the CTs be tailored to their own needs or the needs of my interns? Should professional development be provided for both preservice and inservice teachers together? or tailored to the needs of each group?
